Scholarly Communication: Publishing Strategies

ORCID

ORCID provides a 16 digit unique digital identifier that distinguishes you from other researchers across publishers and platforms, and points to the unique researcher when variations in naming conventions occur.

ORCID is often required when using research data management platforms and institutional repositories, while applying for grants and when submitting papers. Publications can be added manually or imported from Scopus and Google Scholar. ResearcherID and Scopus Author IDs are ORCID compliant.
