As a student, it is a great idea to start reading about your potential industry and job sooner rather than later.
For one thing, you're presumably already interested in it in some way--and there are great resources out there for learning more, that you may not be aware of from sources like Reddit, YouTube, or other social media. These are resources that professionals use, and by tapping into them you can learn what's important earlier. From a totally practical standpoint, this can help with interviews, finding class project ideas, and all the other times it helps to be knowledgeable (i.e., most times).
