Popular Books and Magazines

You can download popular eBooks and audio books, and other content to your device through Libby (by Overdrive) - North Dakota Academic Consortium

  • On the app

    • Search for North Dakota Academic Consortium

    • Choose the University of North Dakota from the list of libraries

    • sign in with your UND credentials

    • Search for titles or browse the collection

      • Choose the eBook or audio book version (depending on availability)

      • Borrowed titles appear on your SHELF, and download to the app automatically when you're connected to Wi-Fi, so you can read them when you're offline
    • On your SHELF, tap loans at the top of the screen. From there, you can

      • Read With... to choose to read with Kindle or Libby. 

      • Open In Libby, Open Magazine, or Open Audiobook to read or listen

      • Manage Loan to see options to Renew and Return

  • You can have multiple libraries in your account, such as the GF Public Library (included in the North Dakota Digital Consortium) or your hometown library.

Spaces and Rooms

The mediation room, found in the second floor at the Chester Fritz library,  is a great way for students to take a break from studying in order to relax and reflect. 

Study rooms are first come first serve, however, there are two room available for booking. The two rooms are located on the third floor and are great for online meetings and proctored test taking.

The one button studio is filled with equipment needed for recording and is great for group projects. Located on the second floor and requires a reservation.

Tech and Tools

Tech and Tools

The Tech and Tools Library allows patrons to check out technology, outdoor use items, crafts and other articles that are commonly not found at a library in order to enhance patrons' creativity. Tech and Tools Library is located on the second floor of the Chester Fritz Library between the south stairs and the laptop bar. 

Items also include:

  • Take & Learn kits
  • Yoga mat
  • Fidget bag
  • Hammock
  • Stress relief balls
  • Gratitude: inspirational card deck
  • Gardening set
