Discussion Questions

Discussion questions are suggestions to start and guide the conversation. The topics may vary based on attendee questions and comments.

Any Day Now:

  1. How does this comic respond to others in the collection focused on fertility or other gendered experiences? Does it have limitations in its framing too?

  2. How does the art lend itself to the story? What are you focusing on when you look through the images?

Cycles:

  1. How do other folks with uteruses feel when their cycles start? Did anyone else feel out of sync with theirs? Did they become accustomed to it or do they still feel similarly about it, if they still have menstrual cycles?

  2. How is this a form of menopause, even when experienced by a man? Do some women feel the same when natural menopause happens?

An End is Not The End:

  1. How does this comic compare with others that touch on themes of self-definition regarding the experience of menopause?
  2. How is this life change depicted? How might we want to, or try to, visualize our own life changes, whether bodily, emotionally, spiritually?
