The Essential Studies Digital Information Literacy Subcommittee met to discuss plans for engaging with faculty who attended the summer Digital Information Literacy workshops.

In collaboration with academic librarians, we will discuss how faculty approached integrating the digital information literacy criteria into their courses and, as time allows, offer help in completing the validation form for anyone who has not yet submitted it. The meeting is optional; faculty are not required to attend to receive the stipend.

We are also extending the invitation more broadly to those who have expressed interest in Digital Information Literacy learning, please feel free to spread the word!

Summer 2024 Workshop Materials

Building a Community of Practice for Digital Information Literacy

In Summer 2024, 17 Faculty from 15 departments attended an all day workshop led by UND subject librarians to discuss ways to support deep engagement and student agency in the 21st century information environment. Our thanks to the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Studies & Student Success for faculty stipends to support workshop attendance and subsequent course validation for the Essential Studies Special Emphasis in Digital Information Literacy/Information Literacy Learning Goal.

Below are the workshop materials used for the various topics - note many of these materials are also located in other sections of this guide as well.
