Knowledge Commons at Chester Fritz Library

This guide explains what offerings are in the Knowledge Commons and how to utilize them.

Welcome

New Service at Chester Fritz Library - Knowledge Commons

  • An “Academic Central Stop” where students can access a wide variety of academic services
  • Located on main (2nd) floor of CFL
  • Students receive peer-to-peer assistance from other undergraduate students

Partners include:

  • Chester Fritz Library
  • National Scholarship
  • Writing Center (in their own space)
  • Tutoring Center (to the back of the Commons)

All partners are committed to regular weekly schedules and you can make an appointment for assistance. Of course, you are also welcome to do drop-in visits. Just stop at the Information Desk for assistance!

Purpose of Information Desk

  • This is the most forward facing desk, and the central point.
  • Questions on how to find materials, navigate the building, make appointments with our partners, or check out an item
  • Staff can explain self check machines and our library app for checking out!

This is a service desk for the following:

  • Pick up interlibrary loan (ILL) items and holds
  • Questions about fines
