Distance Students

Distance Students

As long as you are taking at least 1 credit, you will have access to the library's resources and services. Accessing library databases will require you to login with your UND username and password. Please view the Distance Assistance webpage for information on distance services.

Graduate School Workshops

Librarians work with the Graduate School to conduct beneficial workshops on library resources and services.  Here are some of the workshops that the library has presented:

  • Organizing and Managing your research
    • This workshop focuses on the different types of research and showcases citation managers promoted at UND
  • Publishing Strategies
    • Develop a preliminary plan during this workshop that is meant to assist you in determining best publishing strategies
  • Measuring Research Impact with Altmetrics
    • Learn more about metrics and altmetrics and how to use altmetrics for measuring your research impact.

Students can also schedule one-on-one sessions with their subject librarian.

An Academic "One-Stop"

UIT and the Writing Center

The library serves as an academic "one-stop" place for students. In addition to library services, University Information Technology (UIT), the Writing Center and Career services tutors are located in the library. If you find yourself needing technology assistance, head to the first floor for UIT, and if you find yourself needing writing assistance, head to the third floor for the Writing Center.
