Christopher Jacobs Donation
Film scholar, instructor, filmmaker and author, Christopher Jacobs devoted his life to the study of movies. The extraordinary collection of DVD’s and Blu-ray discs he donated to the Chester Fritz Library can be summed up in one word: eclectic. From silent movies to foreign language films, from Hollywood masterpieces to classic cartoons and new wave anime, from drama and westerns and romance to horror and science fiction films, Chris loved and collected them all. And he gifted the approximately 10,000 title collection to the Chester Fritz Library for all our patrons to enjoy. Learn more with the following links:

Randy Rasmussen Donation
Stanley Kubrick: seven films analyzed by Call Number: CFL Floor 3 Book Stacks (PN1998.3.K83 R37 2001)Publication Date: 2001Rasmussen's most widely-held book - this volume provides an intensive, scene-by-scene analysis of Kubrick's most mature work. In these films, Kubrick dramatized the complexity and mutability of the human struggle, in settings so diverse that some have failed to see the common threads.
Randy Rasmussen, UND Alumnus (M.A. English 1980) and Binding Specialist at Chester Fritz Library, had a love of films and was passionate about sharing the enjoyment of films with others.
