Chicago In-Depth

The Chicago Manual of Style

The Chicago style of citation is primarily used within the humanities, especially in history. It is most well-known for providing a system of footnotes and endnotes which take the place of a bibliography. Unsurprisingly, the Chicago style originates from the University of Chicago. The 17th edition of The Chicago Manual of Style is the most recent edition.
