Data Management and Research

Engage with librarians to curate research data; learn the latest federal policy news; open publishing; and other research matters.

All federal agencies that fund research and development are required to comply with the Nelson Memo mandates. Many agencies had already established public access policies in 2014 following the release of the Holdren Memo, and those policies remain in effect until the new requirements are fully implemented.

UND has received grants and contracts from a wide range of federal agencies over the years. The links below provide the most current public access policy information available for the agencies most commonly funding UND researchers. For guidance specific to your grant or contract, we recommend consulting directly with your agency contact.
