Love Data Week 2025

Event details for Love Data Week 2025 hosted by UND Libraries.

Contest Details

Show your data skills by submitting a chart, infographic or other visual representation of data for a chance to win a prize!

Rules

  1. Judges need to be able to see your visualization! Either attach an image file to your entry or link to a publicly viewable version of your visualization online. Tip: test your link in incognito mode. If it asks you to log-in to see the image it's not publicly viewable.
  2. Visualizations must be in by midnight February 5th to qualify for judging.
  3. Individual or team entries are fine! We recommend a maximum team size of 3 students since a maximum of three prize items are available per winning entry.

Prizes

This year's Love Data Week theme is "Whose Data is it, Anyway?" At UND we think it's yours! Prizes for this contest are thus personalized to celebrate your work.

First PrizeLEGO! Mosaic Maker

Our first place entry will receive a custom Lego kit of their visualization! Stun your friends with your data artistry in 3D.

2nd Prize: Custom tote bag

Your visualization was so beautiful we wanted to print it! Second place prize is a tote bag with your entry screen printed on it.

3rd Prize: Custom coffee mug

Congratulations! Celebrate your third place win with a relaxing hot drink in a mug with your name on it. You've earned it!

Graphs & Goodies: The Data Visualization Award Reception

Please join us for a celebration of all contest entrees on Thursday, February 13th at 3:00 PM in room 406 of the Chester Fritz Library. The top three winners will be announced and refreshments will be served.

We look forward to seeing you there!
