Patient Safety Checklists are tools developed by the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. They are "intended to identify items or tasks that should be confirmed before or during a procedure or to facilitate documentation of what was accomplished or utilized during a procedure. They should not be construed as dictating an exclusive course of treatment or procedure to be followed and may be adapted to local resources."
The official list of checklists is part of the monthly updated list of Committee Opinions and includes reaffirmed dates for older opinions.
