This free online course has been created for Occupational Therapists and Occupational Therapy Assistants practicing in North Dakota and the surrounding region. Although evidence based practice (EBP) is a core component of best practice across medical fields, it can be difficult for practitioners to gain the skills necessary to access, appraise, and integrate current evidence into their day-to-day clinical practice. In this course, medical librarians from the University of North Dakota School of Medicine & Health Sciences will address this need with lecture, discussion, and hands-on activities. Attendees will develop skills in carrying out the steps of EBP, from writing a clinical question to appraising and applying the best evidence to patient care, all within an occupational therapy context.
