Minitex provides statewide databases for North Dakota, South Dakota, and Minnesota, and state libraries are currently in the process of determining which vendors' services to include in the new contract. Whether or not these vendors progress into the final stages of the selection process, they have agreed to extend temporary access to these resources to the three states until June of 2020 in order to support schools, colleges, and libraries transitioning into online teaching and learning.
North Dakota's currently held resources are also available on the North Dakota State Library's website and are freely available to all ND residents.
Many database and journal vendors are helping students and faculty move to online learning and teaching during this unusual time and are offering free use of their normally paid services. Libraries across the nation have been putting together a list of these vendors in a Google Doc called "Vendor Love in the Time of COVID-19 (aka Vendor COVID-19 Related Donations and Pro Bono Access)."
