Library Assistance

We're here to help

Don't forget that SMHS Library Resources has subject-area librarians who are experts at helping you find the information you need. Need help with creating online tutorials, getting resources for students to access online, or finding your own resources? Don't hesitate to contact us!

What can we do remotely?

Pretty much everything that we can do in person! We regularly work with remote instruction, distance or online students, and community faculty around the state, so we're ready to remotely help with all your class and research needs:

  • Meet with faculty and students one-on-one online to discuss reference questions
  • Teach library resources classes
  • Assist with remote access problems
  • Create research guides to meet specific needs
  • Obtain electronic resources that we don't have a direct subscription to via Interlibrary Loan
  • So much more!

Library Resources

As always, we subscribe to many health sciences databases and resources so we can offer them for free to students, faculty, and staff. Our most frequently used resources are listed below:

Online Meetings

Need some help finding a good time to meet? Try one of these services!

Finding a good time to meet across time zones can be difficult for some. Make sure everyone in your class or office knows about the World Clock Meeting Planner, which helps determine best times to meet without being too late or too early for those in differing time zones.

Zoom is becoming more important as we regularly meet with students and colleagues online. The company has created a post with some tips and tricks to help you run your meetings smoothly and securely. UC Berkeley Information Security Office has also created "Settings for Preventing Zoom-Bombing," a guide to settings and options that you can use to ensure only appropriate users are attending your Zoom meetings.
