Nursing - Graduate Students: Interlibrary Loans

Library of the Health Sciences

Interlibrary Loans

If the SMHS Library Resources doesn’t have something you need, it may be possible to request it from another library.

Regular interlibrary loan service is available at no charge to:

  • School of Medicine and Health Sciences (SMHS) faculty, staff, students (medical, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and basic science graduates), residents, and clinical faculty;
  • Cllege of Nursing & Professional Disciplines (CNPD) faculty, staff and students;
  • Human Nutrition Research Center (HNRC).

Requests from other UND faculty, staff and students should be submitted to the Chester Fritz Library.

ILL for Distance Students

We know that many of our distance students don't live in Grand Forks and may not be able to come to the library to use our print materials.  As such, our distance students have access to our print collection via Interlibrary Loans.  If you need a copy of an article that we have in print but not online, simply submit an ILL request.  We will then scan the article to send it to you electronically.  We can also mail you a book if you need, just be aware that you will be expected to the return shipping costs, as well as any fees for late or lost items.  Also keep in mind that some of our books are not allowed to leave the library and therefore will not be eligible for ILL.  Feel free to contact the library if you have any questions.
