are articles, journals, and educational materials that are freely accessible to anyone, (as opposed to databases like CINAHL or journals like The American Journal of Sports Medicine, which are behind paywalls).
- Directory of Open Access Journals - a very well known and reputable database of open access journals. Try searching (athletic OR athlete OR sport) to find a journal with evidence relevant to the discipline of Athletic Training
- Sports Sciences Commons - this is the sports subsection of a database of open access articles and theses run by BePress, which is the company which built UND's own institutional repository.
- UND Scholarly Commons - this is UND's own institutional repository, a database of articles, theses, and other resources created by UND students, faculty, and staff. It is freely accessible to anyone all over the world
