Title IX is entirely private, meant to report sexual violence and sexual harassment. If you see something or something is brought to you, you may report it on your own.
Supervisors DO NOT NEED TO KNOW if you connect a student with the Title IX office, but be aware it is not expected that you will handle a sensitive matter like this. As student employees, you are encouraged to involve a supervisor (even if it means having one of us come in on a night or weekend), since most library personnel are mandated reporters.
