Interlibrary Loan

Interlibrary loan means access! The Thormodsgard Law Library participates in an interlibrary loan program that facilitates the sharing of library resources among the libraries of North Dakota and with participating libraries throughout the region and country. If the Thormodsgard Law Library does not have an item that the patron needs, we will try to borrow the item from another participating library. Turn-around time for interlibrary loan requests is generally 3-5 days.

ILL request

Requests can be made through e-mail, by filling out a form at the Circulation desk, or through our library catalog. The more information you provide, the faster the request can be made. Once the request has arrived, you will be contacted by e-mail.

We do not process requests for materials that can be found at the Chester Fritz Library or the Harley French Medical Library. We also do not make requests to libraries that are located out of the country.

Renewal requests for interlibrary loan material must be made before the book's due date. You may only request a renewal once.

Note: We only process interlibrary loan requests for Law School faculty, staff and students.

For further information, please contact the Circulation and Interlibrary Loan Manager at (701)-777-3482.
