Anyone with a current library card from a North Dakota library is able to borrow books from the Law Library.  The Library system must have your current address.  University of North Dakota alumni may get a free library card from the Chester Fritz Library which enables them to borrow books from any of the libraries on campus.

UND students, faculty, and staff should present their UND U-Card that serves as a library card. The length of the check-out period varies from three hours for some Reserve items to three weeks for general materials. Many materials do not circulate; these materials are available for use in the building.

Law Library faculty, staff and students may also use their campus ID to borrow books from the Chester Fritz Library and Medical School Library.

For your convenience, the Law Library provides three different ways to renew items on loan:

1. In person at the Circulation Desk;

2. By calling the Circulation Manager at 701-777-3482;

3. By using the online renewal feature on ODIN:

   a. Connect to ODIN on the Law Library's homepage.

   b. Log in with your campus ID and password (which is usually the patron's last name).

   c. Click on My Account at the top of the page.

   d. Click on the library and then the book you want renewed.
