Getting Started with your Research: Home

Library of the Health Sciences

Sometimes the hardest part of an assignment is simply getting started.  So much is available to us in this Age of Information, that it can be overwhelming to even the most adept researchers.  The UND Library of the Health Sciences website alone gives you access to hundreds of databases and thousands of journals!  Given the abundance of information at your fingertips, how do you know where to start?

This guide is designed to give you a starting place for your research.  What follows is a selection of the library's resources, arranged by subject.  Please note that many of our resources cover multiple disciplines, so feel free to explore.

We want to help!

Keep in mind that you can contact a librarian at any point in your research process.  Don't feel that you have to struggle for hours before asking for help.  We like to say, "If you haven't found anything after 15 minutes, it's time to call a librarian!"  Look for the "Get More Help" box located on the right-hand column on every Library of the Health Sciences how-to guide.
