DiVA portal is a finding tool for research publications and student theses written at the following 28 universities and colleges of higher education in Sweden & Norway.

TLE takes world literature as its field and publishes biographies of major and minor writers; scholarly descriptions of all interesting texts written by these authors, including those often neglected; and a variety of descriptive and critical essays on literary, cultural and historical matters, which provide a finer understanding of the social contexts in which this writing was produced.

Entries in The Literary Encyclopedia are divided into three databases, People, Works and Topics & Events.

While much of the material here is only offered in Icelandic, the National Archives Census Database is available in English. The database comes complete with instructions on how to effectively search for individuals, and there are some summary statistics from 1703 to 1890 of note in the "Statistics" area.

Before MP3s, CDs, cassettes and vinyl records, people listened to … cylinders. First made of tinfoil, then wax and plastic, cylinder recordings, commonly the size and shape of a soda can, were the first commercially produced sound recordings in the decades around the turn of the 20th century.

Included in this collection are early 20th Century recordings of performances in (1) Norwegians; (2) Swedish; & (3) Finnish.
