It is always a good idea to save your searches.

After all, you don't want to have to repeat your work, right? In addition, the theory of Evidence Based Practice requires your research to be reproducible, meaning that others need to be able to trace your steps and replicate your work in order for your conclusions to be valid.

Three relatively painless ways to track your research:

Create Personal Accounts on Databases

Create a personal account on the database you are using to search for articles.

CINAHL, PubMed, AccessMedicine, and many other databases offer the option of creating an account. Once you have an account, you can save searches, and easily export collections of citations to RefWorks.
