Chemical Engineering

Chemical Engineering Plant Cost Index

CEPCI (Chemical Engineering Plant Cost Index) is available in each print issue of Chemical Engineering. The last page of each issue is devoted to Economic Indicators (CEPCI, Current Business Indicators, Consumer Price Index, and Current Trends, an overall look at how the CEPCI has changed in the recent months).

Chemical Engineering (magazine) is available on the 1st floor of Chester Fritz Library in the periodicals area, call number TN 1 .M45. (We do have Chemical Engineering online, however, the online version does not offer the CEPCI for free; the data requires an individual subscription.)

Are you a distance student?  You may request this information through InterLibrary Loan (ILL).

Note: If you haven't used SciFinder before, first you will need to register on campus. Once you are logged in:

  1. On the left select "Suppliers"
  2. Type in the name of a substance, such as calcium carbonate, and click on the microscope to search
  3. The search results will list prices and quantities for the substance from commercial suppliers.
